Dr. Gertrude Robinson
BOARD DIRECTOR
Dr. Gertrude Robinson, Director, is a 17-year veteran of the Savannah Chatham County Public School System. Prior to joining the school system, she worked for three large industries in the Savannah Area. A two-time graduate of Savannah State College (University), where she received a Bachelor's and Master’s in Business Administration. She went on to earn her EDS and EDD from Southern Carolina University.
She has served the Savannah community by being a part of organizational boards that shares her view as a servant to the citizens of Savannah Chatham County. She currently serves as chairperson for the Parent University Board of Directors, Board representative for Recovery Place of Savannah, The Performance Audit Committee for Savannah Chatham County Public School System and previously served as a board member of Chatham County Area Transit Authority.
Since 2012 she has been the Executive Director and Program Coordinator for Stars School Initiatives, a non-profit organization which provides educational services for families in our community. One of her most outstanding initiatives through the non-profit is a summer program entitled “Growing Into Manhood”, serving African males ages 11-15 years. She is a member of Pentecostal Miracle of Deliverance Church, Inc. There she serves as an ordained minister, usher and President of Miracle of Deliverance Bible Institute. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to our community.
